There are many ways to share your work with others on the Internet. I have always been very cautious about doing so, and don't do it without studying the program. The best I have found, for me, is WorldConnect on Rootsweb. Not only does it allow others to see my genealogy, it serves me as an excellent backup. I am a "backup-aholic". On Rootsweb I upload my gedcom and choose how much I care to display. However, in the case of recovery, I have all of my notes and sources there. I personally do not display them as I feel people should contact me for more information, but that is a personal decision. The fact that it is all stored on the Rootsweb server is nice. That is not my only backup (see definition of a backup-aholic) but it is one of the easiest to use and available from any computer, anywhere. Updating my gedcom is especially easy here as well. patj
